Plant and Photosynthesis.

Hi, my name is John and this is my poster of plant and photosynthesis. As you see here are some arrows pointing at each picture, this is why plants need light. So sunlight/light shines on the plant then the plant absorbs the sunlight/light and sunlight/light are the plants food. The bottom right picture are leaves which are called chlorophyll, the chlorophyll traps the sunlight/light inside the plant. And now it grows.

Genius hour question.

Hi my name is John and this is my Genius hour question. My question is I wonder how we could protect animals and their habitats. So i am trying to persuade people to protect animals and their habitats. Me and Yonatan is going to rap about it. The challenge was coming up with a question that is affecting the world/people/animals, so we could do something about it and persuade other people to help us e.g sea animals dying because we arnt recycling.

Friday Art.

Hi my name is John and this is my Friday art work. On the right side is a image on Google. I chose this champion because he is in a game i play called League Of Legends. And on the left side is my work i did on Google Drawings using lines like Poly-lines, lines, curve lines and curved connector. The challenge was the coloring and the shading, picking the colors was so hard, the champion on the right had colors that was not on google drawing or it was maybe just my shading i needed to work on.

Recycling bin design.

Hi my name is John, and this is my recycling bin design. As you see here is 3 recycling bins, yellow, blue and black. In the yellow you recycle paper and cardboard, in the blue your recycle glass and in the black you recycle aluminum or steel. So i did something else and decided that i would want to draw Spongebob to get kids to put there rubbish inside and i would write Spongbob saying "FEED ME MORE!"

Responsible student matrix.

Hi my name is John, and this is my student matrix poster. As you can see at the top, it says "Responsible: we are ready with everything we need" so if u didn't know Respectful and Responsible are Wesley primary schools value so i picked responsible and made a poster out of it. The challenging thing was that i had to try and crop some of the people out but then as i was cropping them out i was cropping myself out like half of my legs so i had to take a couple of pictures.

Hi my name is John and this is my sss (students sharing strategies) I had a group, Paula, Yonaton and I (John). The challenge was that we had to find out how to solve the problem and what strategie to use. The question was Room Three had 182 basketballs. 5 basketballs fit in a bag. How many bags do they need to carry the basketballs? So we decided to do an algorithm. We drew a bus stop and wrote the 5 on the left side of the bus stop, if you don't know what a bus stop is ask your teacher. After we drew the 5 on the left side of the bus stop we wrote 182 in the middle of the bus stop. So we had to find out how many 5 goes into the 1 so we found out that we couldn't do it. So we had to find out how many 5 goes into 18 so we came up with 3 and we had 3 remainders. so we put the remainder on the 2 so we came up with 32 so we decided 32 by 5 and we came up with 6 and remainder 2. We put the answers together and came up with 36 r2 (remainder 2)

Cookisland language week.

I have chosen this piece of work because it is cookisland language week. Our task was to take a photo of ourselves and say something in cookisland like Mako which means great! I enjoyed taking a photo of myself. I found taking a photo of myself challenging because there would always have to be someone at the back of me, so i would have to restart. i overcame the challenge by moving somewhere else where no one would come to me or at the back of me.
